A Pink Grazing Table!
Earlier this year, we celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday — a truly special milestone made even more memorable with a pink-themed garden party at home. Although her actual birthday was in July, she was away in the USA working at Camp America over the summer, so we celebrated early in May before she left in June.
We hosted around 60 guests in our garden, and I poured my heart into creating a day filled with love, colour, and plenty of homemade treats. Every detail was carefully planned — from the food to the flowers — to reflect her favourite colour and her bright, fun personality.
The star of the table was her red velvet heart-shaped cake, baked and decorated by me with lots of love. It took centre stage among a beautiful spread of homemade food, made using high-quality, mostly organic ingredients. I wanted everything to be as fresh, natural, and flavourful as possible, while still feeling luxurious and indulgent.
To bring everything together, I used small jam jars and mason jars filled with her favourite flowers — peonies — to decorate the table. I also made pink meringues to match the theme perfectly, adding a sweet touch that everyone loved.
And of course, no celebration is complete without balloons — the gorgeous pink “21” balloons came from Perfect Partys in Liscard, who helped make the space look truly magical.
The day was full of laughter, colour, and cake — a wonderful reminder of how special it is to create something homemade and heartfelt for the people you love.
