Oasis 18th Birthday Cake🎸
This 8-inch vanilla cake was baked for my son’s friend Myles’ 18th birthday.
It had four layers of vanilla sponge, filled with jam and buttercream, then covered in a vanilla and white chocolate ganache frosting. The cake fed around 30 people, and it was enjoyed at a family party before Myles headed off to celebrate in Benidorm!
The cake was finished in a black and grey drip design, featuring the Oasis logo and edible album covers from some of their most iconic records. I made all the toppers myself — including the band cut-outs and guitar — and used my edible printer to print the photo toppers.
I always enjoy bringing someone’s favourite music, hobby, or personality into a design — and this one was pure nostalgia and energy rolled into one. It was great to create a cake that celebrated both Myles’ milestone birthday and a band that means so much to so many.
