Brownie Yule Log Craze!
I decided to add the Brownie Yule Log to my Christmas menu this year, a Finch Bakery recipe which has gone viral over this last year!
It is a fudgey Brownie recipe, cooled and then mixed together and pressed into a pan, fillings added and rolled just like a traditional swiss roll! The flavours I decided on were Ferrero Rocher, Triple Chocolate and Biscoff. They are luxurious and very filling, a full log giving 12 large slices. I decided to offer a half one to my menu for those who want smaller ones, and they have been just as popular as the full ones!!
I put my version up on my socials and the next minute — over 60,000 views and reactions across my platforms. Sixty thousand. The best reaction to anything I've done!
My phone didn’t stop. The orders started coming in non-stop and they’ve gone down unbelievably well — more than I expected, actually. Fererro Rocher is by far the most popular... then Triple Chocolate and finally Biscoff.
I also did a little giveaway, and then Nicky, who won, messaged to say she was taking it to the nursing home where her mum lives so she could share it with the staff and residents. That made my day. Nice to know something I’ve baked ends up somewhere it’ll be properly enjoyed.
So yes — the Brownie Yule Log has completely taken over my December. I’m not complaining though. It’s been hectic, but a good hectic. And if you’ve ordered one, shared a post, commented, or even just watched the video — thank you. It’s been a mad few weeks but a really lovely one too and its about to get busier on the run up to Christmas!!
